March showers are bringing April flowers-and the start of Summer Market Season! Opening day at our Penn Quarter Market is on Thursday, April 2, from 3pm to 7 pm, and we have some great offerings for you this year. First up-to thank our loyal market customers, we have implemented a Frequent Buyer Club . There is no obligation or cost to join, and all you have to do is pick up a Frequent Buyer Card. Every time you buy a cut bar of soap, we will mark your card, and when you buy a total of 9 bars, you get one free!

The Dupont Circle market will be in full swing on Sunday April 5, and don't forget that the opening time changes to 9 AM this week. We are happy that the forecast looks great so we won't have to worry about rain or soap suds flowing down the street!

Our Cherry Blossom soap is ready just in time for Cherry Blossom season, and I have to confess that it is one of my new favorites. Come check it out and tell me what you think. I like coming up with new recipes, but don't worry, I will continue to have the regular favorites, such as English Lavender Garden, Princess Gardenia of Macadmia, Cinnamon Oatmeal and many others.

Of course, this time of year we are very busy working outside, and my muscles are feeling it! But after a long and dreary winter, I am ready and eager to work on my planting beds and grow the many flowers and herbs needed for inclusion in our soaps. My rabbits and goats have been working hard "producing" organic fertilizer so I anticipate lush plantings this year.

At market, in addition to our soap, we will have lip balm, felted soap, and wrapped gift items. I also have a new batch of Dog Shampoo bars-since we can enjoy great soap, I figured that our furry friends should be able to enjoy it too. My Cocker Spaniel, Frisco, is allergic to just about everything, and he is my number one user of our Dog Shampoo bar. With Tea Tree, Lavender and other essential oils, it is soothing, conditioning, and has natural insect repellent qualities.

Also, we will be back at the Falls Church Market starting Saturday, May 2, and our soaps make wonderful and practical gifts for Mother's Day, Graduations, Teacher Gifts, and Birthdays. We will continue to carry soap wrapped in handmade paper, in addition to our cute one bar boxes with tassels. If you are looking for something special, let us know.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you at market this year!

Sincerely,
